வரிசையாக வளையல்களை அணிந்தவளே !
கொடுக்க முடியாத பொருளை கேட்பவரிடன் "இல்லை" என்று சொல்வது இழிவு ஆகாது - அது உலகில் இயற்க்கை. தருகிறேன் என்று சொல்லியும், ஆசை கெடும்படி கொடுக்காமல் ஏமாற்றுவது செய்த நன்றியை மறப்பதற்கு (கொல்வது ) சமம் ஆகும்.
O maid with bangles graced ! Saying 'no' to a person who is asking something that is beyond your means does not disgrace you. That is natural in this world. But to cheat someone by not giving, after agreeing to give, is like 'killing' the benefit received.
இசையா வொருபொரு ளில்லென்றல் யார்க்கும்
வசை அன்று வையத் தியற்கை - நசையழுங்க
நின்றோடிப் பொய்த்த னிரைதொடீஇச் செய்ந்நன்றி
கொன்றாரிற் குற்றம் உடைத்து.
இசையா - சாத்தியமில்லா
வசை - பழிப்பு / ஏசு
நசை - ஆசை
அழுங்க - கெடுதல்
