வேற்றுமை இன்றிக் கலந்திருவர் நட்டக்கால்
தேற்றா ஒழுக்கம் ஒருவன்கண் உண்டாயின்,
ஆற்றுந் துணையும் பொறுக்க ! பொறான் ஆயில்
தூற்றாதே தூர விடல்.

வேற்றுமை இல்லாமல் இருவர் இணைந்து நட்புக்கொண்டபின்,
தகாத ஒழுக்கம் ஒருவனிடத்தில் உண்டானால், முடிந்த மட்டும் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். தொடர்ந்து பொறுத்துக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் வெளிப்படையாக அவமதிக்காமல் நட்பை விட்டுவிடல் நன்று.
