உறுவ துலகுவப்பச் செய்து - பெறுவதனால்
இன்புற்று வாழும் இயல்புடையார் எஞ்ஞான்றுந்
துன்புற்று வாழ்தல் அரிது.

உவப்ப - மகிழ
எஞ்ஞான்றும் - ஒருபோதும்
அறிய வேண்டியவைகளை முழுமையாக அறிந்து அடக்கமுடையவராகி, அஞ்ச வேண்டிய தீயவைகளுக்கு அஞ்சி, தான் செய்வதால் உலகை மகிழ வைத்து, இவை மூலம் பெற்ற செல்வத்தால் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாழும் இயல்பு உடையோர் எப்பொழுதும் துன்பத்துடன் வாழ்வது அரிது.
Those who gain the knowledge they need and become humble, and fear those evil things they need to fear, make the whole world happy with their conduct and live a happy life with the wealth gain in this manner would rarely live a unhappy life.
